Parcells & Bledsoe
Parcells, Bledsoe, a new logo and silver helmets in '93, and Super Bowl XXXI, lost to Green Bay.
- 1960The Boston Patriots used a simple tricorne-hat helmet logo for one season.
- 1961"Pat Patriot," a minuteman hiking a football drawn by Boston Globe artist Phil Bissell, became the logo.
- 1971The team changed its name from Boston to New England.
- 1993A full overhaul brought the "Flying Elvis" logo, royal blue home jerseys and silver helmets, replacing Pat Patriot and the red home jerseys.
- 1995Numbers switched to a rounded font with a drop shadow.
- 2000Royal blue darkened to nautical blue and block numbers returned.
