Houston to Nashville
Houston blows a 35–3 lead in Buffalo in January '93. The team moves to Tennessee in '97, becomes the Titans in '99, and ends Super Bowl XXXIV a yard short.
- 1960The franchise debuted as the Houston Oilers in Columbia blue, with an oil-derrick logo it kept until 1999.
- 1966-71Helmets and pants were silver; helmets were blue in other early years and white from 1975 to 1998.
- 1997The team moved to Tennessee as the Tennessee Oilers, playing its first season in Memphis, with an alternate logo mixing the state flag and the derrick.
- 1999Renamed the Titans, the team introduced a flaming "T" logo with three stars and added navy jerseys.
- 2003A light Titans blue alternate jersey was introduced.
- 2009The Titans wore Oilers throwbacks for the AFL's 50th anniversary.
